Summer Time..

As summer heats up, remember this tip for watering.  About 2 to 3 times a week is generally enough.  This allows the roots to search deeper and not just stay at the surface level expecting daily watering.  A stronger plant is the result.  However, always watch the leaves as summer progresses.  If they start to droop, give them a drink.  Just watering a few times a week will allow you to take a couple of days away without worrying about the plants.  Actually, in temperatures from the low 80's and down I have let them go for 5 days without any harm to the plant.  Water is a needed resource, but using it wisely gives the plant a chance to develop its own strengths.

Some suggestions for Summer "Thyme"---

As Summer marches ahead, remember that the Ground Meat Blend is great for grilling hamburgers.  I add it to the meat before I make the burgers.  This puts it through the whole burger and gives a terrific taste.  If you buy prepared or frozen burgers, you can just sprinkle it on top about 10 minutes before grilling and the taste is also great.

Summer is here, enjoy the out of doors in both the garden and the grilling experience.
